Matt grew up on a beef and sheep farm in the North Pennines, before studying at Nottingham University and graduating in July 2015. After a placement at Wright and Morten in his final year, he joined the team once graduated and has been here ever since.
Though he enjoys all aspects of cattle and sheep work, Matt has a particular interest in flock health and sheep medicine. He has established the Wright & Morten Flock Health Club and is a member of the Sheep Veterinary Society. He has recently finished studying for a Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice with a focus on Sheep, through the University of Liverpool, and will graduate in the summer of 2022. He is also a member of the Register of Sheep Advisers - a network of experienced professionals formed by the National Sheep Association to offer a wide range of advice to sheep farmers to support all aspects of their business.
His time out of work is largely spent up at the family farm working with their flock of Swaledale and North of England Mules, working his two cocker spaniels, or at home attempting some form of badly planned DIY.
